The Gamut Paddle Holder is a mounted system that supports the weight of your paddle while you paddle. We designed it to keep kayakers as independent and active as possible, and for many, it’s meant the difference between continuing to kayak or giving it up entirely. The mount eliminates the weight of the paddle, reducing joint stress on your shoulders, back and joints which allows you to continue paddling for longer periods of time without discomfort. This makes Gamut well-suited for paddlers with shoulder pain, arthritis, injuries or other strength and mobility limitations. Anglers and photographers love it because they can simply "let go" and their paddle stays put.
Your paddle is held in place with two YakAttack RotoGrips that accommodate both round and oval shafts. Optional paddle ties (sold separately) help keep your paddle firmly in place while you paddle. With a gentle tug, you can also pop your paddle out of the mount at any time.
The Gamut comes with one of two mounts for sit-inside kayaks. Please review our mounts page for the recommended specifications, as not all mounts will fit all kayaks. We recommend that you choose the mount with the highest stability star rating that will fit your kayak.
All mounts use a support post with an omni-directional rotating fulcrum to support the paddle, creating a fluid, energy-efficient motion.

Angle Oar and the Gamut Paddle Holder rescued my summer! I was so disappointed to realize in June that I had tennis elbow and wouldn't get to do all the paddling I'd been excited to do.
